Venttalk

What is it for?

Venttalk is a one-tap signal for the people close to you. Red means you need to vent and would like someone to listen without solving anything. Green means you're open to input, advice, and problem-solving. It replaces a conversation that's awkward to have in the moment.

How do I change it?

Tap anywhere on the screen, on either your iPhone or your Apple Watch. The two stay in sync automatically.

How do I put it on my watch face?

  1. Press and hold your watch face, then tap Edit.
  2. Swipe to the complications screen.
  3. Tap a complication slot and choose Venttalk.

Tapping the complication opens the app so you can change your status in one motion.

My watch goes back to the clock too quickly

That's a watchOS setting, not the app. On your watch, go to Settings → General → Return to Clock, find Venttalk, choose Custom, and set it to After 1 Hour. The color will then stay on screen instead of reverting after a couple of minutes.

Can my partner see my status on their phone?

Not yet. Today Venttalk syncs between your own iPhone and Apple Watch, so the signal is something the people around you can see on your wrist. Sharing status between two people's devices is the feature we're working on next.

Does it collect any data?

No. Venttalk has no accounts, no analytics, and no servers. See our privacy policy.

How do I report a bug?

Email info@vandolalabs.com with your device model, watchOS or iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened. If you're in the beta, you can also shake your phone inside TestFlight to send a screenshot and feedback directly.

How do I join the beta?

Email info@vandolalabs.com and we'll add you to the next round of invitations.
